Sign in with MitID
Use your Aula access. Your sign-in details are stored securely on your Mac.

Start a sync
Start now, then let Fotofavn check daily while the app stays open. The app downloads photos and checks for existing copies. You can pause the work and pick it up later.

Find your memories in Photos
Photos are saved to the library you have open in Apple Photos. Titles and details from Aula come with them where fields are empty.

Direct connection to Aula
Your Mac connects to Aula and its sign-in services to retrieve photos. If you use iCloud Photos, Photos may sync them according to your Apple settings.
No AI
Fotofavn does not use AI. It includes no developer analytics or automatic uploads of support reports.

Before you begin.
Does the app run all the time?
New installations sync daily by default. The first automatic sync is scheduled after 24 hours; choose Sync now to start sooner. You can also choose manual, hourly or weekly sync. Existing settings are preserved. The app needs to stay open, even just in the menu bar, and your Mac needs external power unless you enable syncing on battery. Quitting Fotofavn stops the work.
What happens with duplicates?
Fotofavn compares photos against existing originals in Photos to avoid extra copies. Comparisons needing your judgement can be reviewed in the app. Unconfirmed earlier saves are checked separately.
